How do I know if YFG is a good fit for my school?
Before making a commitment, we always suggest scheduling a trial class. You'll see how a typical class is run, meet one of our trained teachers, and have the opportunity to discuss a program suited specifically for your school if you decide to move forward. How long of a commitment does my school need to make?
We offer 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and full-year class commitments. How often do classes run?
In order for students to gain the full benefits of a yoga and mindfulness practice, we suggest classes at least once/week. However we understand this isn’t always possible with packed schedules and budgets. We’ll always work closely with you to find a schedule that feels good, whether that’s weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly classes.Do you offer classes just during school hours or during after school programs as well?
Both! Many of our classes are offered as part of a weekly curriculum while others are part of after school or enrichment programs. Our school has limited space - are we still able to hold classes?
We are very creative when it comes to limited space! While having the ability to roll out mats for each child is ideal, we know this isn’t always possible. Our classes are focused around breathing techniques, mindful movement, community building, and practicing stillness, all of which can be taught safely and effectively in smaller spaces.I would love to have this program at my school, but we have limited funding. What can we do?
We understand that many school communities have set budgets with limited wiggle room. We explore all avenues with you whether that’s through fundraising, applying for grants, or any other outside resources.Who teaches the yoga classes?
Jess and Jackie are the head yoga teachers. We are growing our team with highly-trained and experienced yoga teachers.

20 Hour Teacher Training
Do I have to be a yoga teacher or practice yoga to participate in the training?Absolutely not! No yoga experience is necessary for our 20 hour teacher training. You may have experience working with children or working in a classroom setting, or you may be hoping to learn more about yoga and mindfulness to simply help yourself and the younger generation.
Are any materials or resources included in the price of the training? Teacher trainees receive a YFG teacher manual which includes all materials covered, lesson plans, games, book resources, and a yoga card deck.
Can I teach yoga to kids after attending the training?
Yes! The training will prepare you to design and create effective and age appropriate lesson plans, yoga sequencing, and tips for connecting with school communities.
